Can I edit a program that I created in RoboLab with the retail Robotics Invention System?
The programs are created in two very different engines; therefore, this is not easily possible.

Can I still find my saved programs after I uninstall my software?
Yes. Unless you have moved them or reassigned the default folder, your programs will be stored on your C drive -> Program Files in a folder called “ROBOLAB 2.5.4”.

During installation I get a dialog box stating that certain installations should be closed before continuing. I am given the choices Retry, Cancel or Ignore. What should I do?
You should choose ‘Ignore’ or the RoboLab 2.5.4 installer will shut down. If you have already experienced this and have not completed the installation process you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program again.

Please ignore the request to reboot until you see the message, “RoboLab 2.5.4 has finished installation.” If you have rebooted before the installation was completed, please install RoboLab 2.5.4 again in order to ensure it is installed properly on your computer.

The Training missions are launched from the Start menu. Go to the RoboLab 2.5.4 folder and click on "Training Missions". You can add a shortcut to the desktop; go to the folder and right click on the training missions; you can choose “create shortcut” or “send to” (desktop).

I have installed a new version of the RoboLab software, but I still have a folder including the former version. What should I do?
You will need to uninstall any former programs. The new software packs do not overwrite existing programs.

I have purchased RoboLab software version 2.5.4, but on the packaging the software version is called 2.5.4b. Why?
There is only one 2.5.4 software version, but unfortunately we had to recall the first 2.5.4 version because of problems. Therefore, the correct version of software 2.5.4 has been renamed "2.5.4b".

Is RoboLab available in other languages than English?
Yes; RoboLab is currently available in Chinese, Danish, French, German, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish. Note, however, that language versions may be different than the English version. Contact your local distributor.

The desktop icon for RoboLab 2.5.4 is not a picture. Why?
If you chose to install the program at a different location than the location selected by default, the icon may not have been saved. If you right click on the RoboLab icon and open Properties, you can click the “change icon” button to choose your own or search for the RoboLab 2.5.4 icon.

The power settings I have programmed in RoboLab are not the same as the settings displayed on the RCX.
